Life holds one privilege that is rare,
The privilege that we have of prayer.

How good to know that up above
God rules in wisdom and in love,
And waits to hear our every cry
That carries to His throne on high.

Great is the comfort of His Word
That every prayer is surely heard.

We need but pray and gently wait-
It may come soon, it may come late;
But come it will in His own ways,
And blessed are our waiting days.

When God does answer, this we know-
Though He may answer Yes or No,
Which ever way He grants our quest
He'll always answer for our best;
For in His wisdom He can see
Which way is best for you and me.
